Human Technology Interface 2014, Province of Styria

Winner in the Commercial Applications category

The team of researchers run by Professor Thomas Pieber and Dr Peter Beck from HEALTH, the JOANNEUM RESEARCH Institute for Biomedicine and Health Sciences, received the research award ‘HTI: Human Technology Interface’ for the province of Styria in the ‘Economic Applications’ category in May 2014 for the development of GlucoTab®. ‘This is a fantastic award for our work,’ Pieber enthused. Beck thanked the interdisciplinary team of nurses, physicians and technicians.

The award was presented by the Styrian province’s Councillor for Science and Research, Christopher Drexler. ‘This exemplary cooperation between different research institutions shows Styria’s strengths as a research location,’ stated the councillor.
